Something swept past Hope, she shivered terrified. Hope felt someone be with her but saw nobody as she opened her eyes. She turned her head at King Blood, the attack was blocked once more by Sight. He was panting but otherwise unhurt by King Blood's last attack on him.
"You?!" King Blood yowled in rage, his fangs drawing blood being hit by the sword that Sight held in protection. The minotaur staggered back but held his ground.
"Yes, it's me." Sight answered to his rage with a smirk. "I don't think that you'll be able to lay a fang on Hope-"
King Blood clamped down on the sword, few of his teeth payed the prize. The brown-dog reared back swinging the minotaur about the same height as he was behind his back. With his back legs, King Blood kicked Sight in front of the statue of Mifourmanta in the circle of homes around it. Sight didn't fall down but he instead stood on his feet holding his sword at King Blood.
"Whatever you think Hope has done, she hasn't done it!" Sight bellowed fiercely at the giant dog coming towards him again. But, King Blood didn't listen, he charged directly into Sight pushing him back few inches. "It was Hollow, you have been fooled by him. He's just using you to kill the only one who will save this world!"
"Silence, minotaur." King Blood growled swiping his paws at the minotaur's legs. Slash after slash, Sight dodged them the best he could while holding his sword sideways where he was biting. "The truth is that my son was killed by someone, most likely that human. He was my only son who I could keep due to his appearance didn't suit my clan's expectations."
Sight's arms gave away. The muzzle let go off of the sword and snapped into Sight's shoulder. Keeping his hold on Sight, King Blood reared up once more and pushed him towards the ground. Sight's sword flew away from his hands, he grabbed the muzzle trying to loosen up the hold.
"Sight!" Hope gasped, she bit her lip feeling useless. Watching Sight trying to get the muzzle's hold, Hope cursed at herself being so useless. With the help of her staff, Hope looked at the scene in front of her standing up. "Ur-Urk... Uki-Ukiu..." Hope struggled to remember a small spell that might help him for a while, she stomped the staff into the dirt. She held the staff in front of her. "Ukiun."
From Hope's staff, a blinding orb flew out of the tip of her staff. The orb dashed straight into King Blood's eyes making him rear back in pain of losing his sight for the moment. The minotaur jumped quickly away from King Blood's path as he swung his head side-to-side having lost his sight. He staggered some feet away and then blinked multiple times looking at where Sight was at confused if his eyes were telling a lie. Sight's left hand held onto his right shoulder where it was bleeding heavily while holding his sword in his right hand ready for King Blood to come at him again.

Some art from my book, the chapter that I am writing at the moment.

King Blood (Large canine) and Sight the minotaur fighting each other. I was first going to have Hope and Valko in the background but I'm not good at humans... ^_^; But Sight is protecting Hope from King Blood who thinks that Hope killed his son Guardian aka Largonz.

The background was going to be like in the book surroundings but it failed so I made a simple one. As you can see I was messing around with the different effects on Photoshop and I like how it looks now. XD This was first going to be something very simple just a colored sketch and no shading but I got into it too much... Yay. .__.;

Holy bagels! It's been forever since we've heard about King Blood... so long, in fact, that I've forgotten that he even had a part in the story. It stinks that he's going to show up at the WORST TIME: Sight's become one of my favorite characters, so it's untimely that he and the big King are going to duke it out. What a bad time to be sticking around Hope...!

This is a very lovely picture though, it's very eye-catching to say the least. The color choice is great, the fur textures show up nicely, and best of all your shading- especially on Sight's pants- is outstanding. Evidently you've got a grand grasp on clothing folds too, so you have my commendations on that one. Veeery nice!

The critique I have to offer you would be to perhaps study and try perspectives and different angles. Side angles such as this one are good, but don't give you the full view of the picture. Why, at this angle alone it looks like King Blood is swallowing Sight's whole head, not just biting his shoulder. Oh dear... that would really stink, wouldn't it? :giggle:

But beyond that, dandy job on this one, Hope my friend. It was great to get to see not only King Blood again, but Sight as well. Heheee... great work!

And hey, I certainly can't wait until you upload the next chapter. It sounds like an exciting one! Speaking of which, I hope you don't mind if I comment every other chapter. It saves me considerable time that way. ;D

xD Yeah, but he is in the background... waiting. Haha... It surely is, but first King Blood was going after Hope and then Sight got in his way so, the two are fighting.

xD Argh, true. I was thinking that when I was drawing it. "Hmmm... his head doesn't show up." I was going to have a very long ear sticking out. haha.. but I'll try different angles.

Thank you Ribbons. <3 I'm still designing Sight's look. This was the second time trying to draw him.

I don't mind, it saves time, so of course I don't mind. :'D

Aye, righty oh you're very welcome! Nailing different angles with art is very tricky... perspective, foreshortening, all that jazz, I'm still learning it myself. It's a tough thing to learn, I give you that!

But hehee, I just got chapter 21 in my inbox. Hurrah, I can't wait to read it tomorrow!
